Still Here.
STILL HERE
On young people, modern life, and the pressure to keep going.
There’s a quiet weight in the world right now.
You can feel it in conversations.
You can see it in how people move through their days.
Especially in younger generations trying to figure out who they are, where they belong, and how to keep up.
They’ve inherited a world that’s always on.
Constant comparison.
Endless information.
Pressure to perform, to look a certain way, to be something before they’ve even had time to understand themselves.
Social media was meant to connect us.
In many ways, it does.
But it also creates a version of life that’s curated, filtered, and often unrealistic.
And when your everyday reality doesn’t match what you’re seeing, it can feel like you’re falling behind.
Mental health challenges among young people are rising.
In Canada, youth report increasing levels of anxiety, depression, and stress.
Many feel overwhelmed, not because they’re weak, but because the environment is demanding more than ever before.
And the hardest part?
A lot of it is invisible.
At Stilly, we’re not here to solve something this complex.
But we believe in something simple.
Being present matters.
Connection matters.
Small moments matter.
A walk.
A conversation.
Sitting with people without needing to perform.
Just being here.
We don’t need to have all the answers.
But we can pay attention.
We can check in.
We can make space for real conversations.
We can create environments where people don’t feel like they have to be anything other than themselves.
If you’re reading this and things feel heavy, you’re not alone.
There are people and resources that want to help.
